Swiss-based aesthetic company Teoxane is marking a decade of innovation with its Resilient Hyaluronic Acid (RHA®) technology, which launched in 2015. Since then, Teoxane has become the UK’s leading and largest dermal filler brand, with a global presence in over 90 countries and more than 12 million syringes distributed worldwide.

RHA® is the foundation of Teoxane’s dermal filler injectables and dermocosmetic skincare line. Over the past ten years, the brand has reported a 2,400% increase in practitioner adoption of the RHA® range. The unique gels are formulated to mimic the body’s natural hyaluronic acid, with clinical data showing they are up to 96% closer to natural HA.*

Industry Firsts and Regulatory Milestones

Teoxane has led the industry with several key innovations and certifications:

  • First hyaluronic acid fillers to receive FDA approval for dynamic wrinkles and folds

  • First brand to incorporate crosslinked hyaluronic acid (used in fillers) into an at-home skincare range

  • First dermal filler brand to achieve full EU-MDR certification across its entire range

What Is RHA®?

RHA® (Resilient Hyaluronic Acid) was developed using Teoxane’s Preserved Network Technology (PNT), designed to withstand facial movement while maintaining volume and hydration. The formulation combines crosslinked and non-crosslinked hyaluronic acids, offering both humectant and occlusive benefits—superior to traditional linear hyaluronic acid.

The RHA® gel forms a breathable mesh on the skin that locks in moisture, supports collagen and elastin production, and adapts to dynamic facial movements. This results in more natural, youthful-looking skin that maintains hydration and elasticity over time.

Clinical & Scientific Backing

Teoxane’s RHA® fillers have been evaluated through 23 clinical studies and cited in 10 scientific publications. Reported benefits include:

  • +8% increase in skin water content

  • Reduced inflammation risk

  • Higher levels of functional hyaluronic acid in each syringe

  • Enhanced resistance to degradation

  • Natural-feeling and long-lasting results

Teoxane Dermocosmetics

Teoxane’s RHA® technology is also available in its at-home skincare line, consisting of 14 products priced between £25 and £92 (available via teoxane.co.uk). The range is expanding in 2025 to meet growing demand for effective post-treatment and daily-use skincare solutions.

The hero product, RHA® Serum, contains 3% RHA® and has shown impressive results:

  • 130% increase in hydration after one use

  • 44% increase in collagen types I and IV

RHA® Serum targets seven key signs of ageing: firmness, smoothness, plumpness, tonicity, elasticity, hydration, and wrinkles.

Dr Bonny Armstrong, Regional Expert for Teoxane, says, "Teoxane are the first brand to evolve crosslinked hyaluronic acid similar to dermal fillers into dermocosmetics (at-home skincare products). This means that both the injectable fillers and at-home products have the RHA formula. What's unique about RHA is that it's designed to strengthen and protect the skin, while providing optimal hydration, boosting the skin’s plumpness and moisture levels whilst also allowing for natural movement to not be compromised."
