Gary Monaghan holds an LLb Law degree and has worked in the aesthetics and plastic surgery industry for over 25 years. Gary has a 24-year career in plastic surgery and aesthetics largely split into three parts. Gary started his career in the industry with Nagor Limited, the UK's only manufacturer of Breast Implants. In a 9-year span with Nagor, Gary managed the UK sales team and all sales. Furthermore, for 18 months Gary oversaw key international markets which included extensive worldwide travel and distributor support. On one of these trips, Gary conceived the idea for a new range of implants. This idea manifested itself in the Impleo range which sells multi-thousand units across all continents.
Gary left Nagor to set up an insurance company. This company was Premium Medical Protection. PMP broke the mould for consultants in private practice and gave them a credible alternative to the small number of options available at that point in time. PMP grew from an idea to become the largest provider of insured indemnity to consultants in private practice with thousands of consultants on its books. Gary retains a very strong knowledge in indemnity insurance to this day and places insurance for individuals, clinics and entities on a daily basis.
Gary sold his part in PMP and set up The Cosmetic Consultants, a consultancy agency that advised plastic surgeons on the running of their business. From this, The Clinic Builders was born after a plastic surgeon asked Gary to build him a clinic. This sector of The Cosmetic Consultants' work has grown to be its only work as demand for new clinics has accelerated immeasurably with demand for aesthetic treatments and plastic surgery at all-time high. The Clinic Builders now offers a unique service to anyone wishing to build a clinic or hospital. Gary and the team have built venues from 800 square feet to 12,000 square feet which have included small aesthetic clinics right through to large hospitals with multi-operating theatres and overnight beds. The Clinic Builders covers all aspects of the projects we manage. It can be from finding a venue to lease negotiation. From managing builders to sourcing equipment, insurance, third-party contracts and so on. The all-encompassing turnkey nature of the business is the unique factor.
