Menopausal symptoms

The female menopause usually occurs between the age of 45 and 55 and is the point at which a woman stops menstruating and is no longer able to bear children naturally. Some women can experience early menopause but the average starting age in the UK is 51. Menopausal symptoms include hot flushes, night sweats, difficulty sleeping, depression or feeling low and anxious, memory loss and poor concentration, a reduced sex drive or lower libido, plus vaginal dryness which usually causes discomfort during sexual intercourse.

Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy

The female menopause, and male andropause, can cause symptoms such as a lack of energy, sweats or hot flushes, mood swings and reduced libido. Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is an alternative treatment to the synthetic hormones, used in conventional Hormone Replacement Therapies (HRT).
