Dr Fatima Ahmed

Answer: We are an advanced skin care clinic where we specialise in lesion and mole removal. Our Doctor Fatima Ahmed who specialises in dermatology would see you for a consultation first, during which she will thoroughly assess the mole, offer a test patch with the laser used and give you advice regarding removal. It may be necessary to offer a biopsy if there is any concern regarding a mole before removal, always ensuring your safety is our priority. This is a service we offer in the clinic. The sample is then sent to the Spire Alexandra Hospital for a full histopathology report.
Mole Removal is becoming a popular procedure because the NHS has reduced the amount of procedures they will carry out. Laser removal is a safe and effective procedure that is quick with fantastic results and with minimal, if any, scarring. A local anaesthetic will be administered prior to removal, making your appointment painless. We can then remove your mole quickly and accurately with our Er. Yag Laser. A small white mark is all that is usually left but a small scar may result. Generally, the area is left unmarked and clear within about two weeks.
The costs are as follows:
Consultation: £175.00 (£50 deposit payable upon booking)
Consultation under 18 £120.00 (£50 deposit payable upon booking)
Biopsy (if needed): from £250
Removal: from £350
Please note that a personal quote will be given to you at consultation.
Dr Fatima’s working hours are:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday’s 9am – 4:30pm
If you have any further questions or would like to book in your consultation, please feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to help.

Answer: Hi,
Moles require a letter from your GP or dermatologist confirming non cancerous and safe to treat with cryopen. Or the clinic can do a dermascope which involves taking pictures and a video of the mole which is then sent off via an app to a dermatologist. They then assess and advise the type of mole. If not suspicious we can then treat. The report can take approx 1 week for the results. An initial consultation is required £35, Dermascope £99. Cryopen for 1 mole £100 per treatment. It may require more than 1 treatment.
