Ever Heard of the Non-surgical Facelift?

This treatment is a non-invasive therapy that produces amazing, long-lasting results, without the pain and recovery period of a surgical procedure. Sounds too good to be true, right?

But the non-surgical facelift is very much a reality.

For anyone wanting to achieve younger and healthier-looking skin, without going under the knife, this could be the perfect solution.

So How Does This Treatment Actually Work?

First of all, it’s important to understand why the face begins to sag and why our skin develops wrinkles as we age.

Bone structure, soft tissue and pillows of fat under our skin are what give our faces shape, defining our cheekbones and jawline.

When we are young, we naturally produce more collagen and elastin.

This gives our faces more volume and makes our skin firm and smooth-looking.

What are the benefits of a non-surgical facelift

As we age, our facial bones recess and the fat deposits deteriorate and lose volume and definition. We also begin to produce less collagen. The result is that our skin begins to sag, develop wrinkles, and lose some of its natural radiance.

Facelifts – both surgical and non-surgical – work to redefine the fat under our skin and make our skin firmer again.

You’ve probably heard about the surgical kind of facelift before. This is where the fat and soft tissue of the face are redistributed via incisions in the skin. The skin is then “lifted” over the new contours of the face to give a more youthful appearance.

With a surgical procedure, you can often expect a certain amount of pain after the treatment. It can also require a long period of downtime for recovery while your face heals.

What Are the Benefits of the Non-surgical Facelift?

The theory behind the non-surgical facelift is very similar to the traditional facelift.

This treatment uses a series of dermal filler injections that are administered to specific locations of your face to target common problem areas.

The dermal filler lifts the structure of the face, redefining its youthful contours. Because no incisions are made, it is a much less invasive procedure than its surgical counterpart.

Even though the procedure isn’t surgical, you will still have a thorough consultation before treatment. It’s important to establish if a non-surgical facelift will work for you, and achieve the results you are looking for.

The specific needs of your facial structure will be examined. Then, a detailed treatment plan will be created for the needs of your facial features.

The aim of this treatment is to re-volumise your face, giving you more definition and firming up any sagging or wrinkled skin. It will give you subtle, natural-looking results without the “overdone” look you can sometimes see as a result of a surgical facelift.

Some people can experience a small amount of swelling, and you’ll need to avoid strenuous exercise for a few days after the procedure.

Natural-Looking Results

However, as the procedure is not surgical, it has virtually no downtime, meaning you can return to your regular routine the following day with a rejuvenated face.

This is one of my favourite parts of the non-surgical facelift. It can offer the same kind of benefits as a traditional facelift but without the pain or bruising of the surgical option.
