Volume 9: Issue 5 | December 2025

Welcome to the latest issue of the Consulting Room Magazine.

It’s hard to believe 2025 is already coming to a close. I don’t know about you, but time seems to be moving faster than ever, which makes this month’s topic of longevity and biohacking even more pertinent.

In the last few years, we’ve seen a real shift in the market towards a more holistic, inside-out approach to age management. And in 2025, that shift has only accelerated, with aesthetics increasingly overlapping with longevity, biohacking and functional medicine.

So what does this actually mean for aesthetics? It reflects a growing recognition that skin health, ageing and overall wellbeing are interconnected. Patients are no longer satisfied with surface-level improvements – they are looking for treatments that also address the underlying biological processes driving how they look and feel. For clinics, this has translated into a broader, more integrative approach: incorporating diagnostics, hormone and metabolic assessments, nutritional support, regenerative treat-ments and lifestyle interventions alongside traditional injectables and skincare. Explore our special on pages 20-30 for a deeper dive into this topic.

Nutrition is aslo a key pillar of this movement, so we are delighted to publish Dr Patrick Treacy’s thoughts on full-fat vs low-fat dairy and its impact on skin health (pp36-38). We also look at how surgeons are using gaming technology – including headsets from games like Among Us 3D – to enhance surgical training (pp42-43). And if you’re thinking about the year ahead, Kyle Lunn shares why now is the time for aesthetic clinics to get smarter with tech to stay competitive, efficient and future-ready (pp48-49).

I hope you have a fantastic end to 2025. If you celebrate Christmas, I wish you and your loved ones a truly happy one. We look forward to bringing you more aesthetics news, insights and features in 2026 – and keep an eye out for an exciting project we’ll be unveiling in January.

See you in the New Year.
