Putting Menopause on the MiP
Ahead of Menopause in Practice (MiP) 2026, we chat to Dr Ginni Mansberg about the aesthetics agenda and what she’s excited about for the event.
Dr Ginni Mansberg literally wrote the book on menopause, and the author of The M Word will be back in the UK in February to chair and speak at Menopause in Practice (MiP), formerly Menopause in Aesthetics.
The sell-out event, now in its fourth year, will return to the historic Grand Connaught Rooms, London, on Friday, February 6, 2026, with a new name, expanded agenda, and even more opportunities to connect and learn.
The rebrand to MiP reflects mBody Media’s commitment to meeting the urgent need for menopause education across the healthcare spectrum, from private practices and aesthetics clinics to NHS services.
Alongside the new name comes a refreshed education format. The main agenda will cover key topics such as vulvovaginal health, cardiovascular health, musculoskeletal changes, neurological symptoms, eye health, weight management, and cancer-related menopause care, while a prescribing masterclass will provide in-depth guidance on safe, effective hormone replacement therapy. Despite the rebrand, aesthetics still remains a core part of the vision, and that’s why the 2026 event has a half-day aesthetics agenda running alongside the main agenda.
As the founder of ESK, Dr Ginni is known for combining her passion for menopause and skin in her work, so who better placed to chair the aesthetics programme? Here we speak to her to find out more about what’s in store.
Consulting Room: You have been speaking and chairing at MIP since it launched in 2023. This year, the name has changed to Menopause in Practice to encompass the wider scope of menopause care – why do you think that is an important shift?
Dr Ginni Mansberg: To me, the change represents an evolution in this important event. Until now, the event has catered to those in aesthetics who wanted to gain more knowledge about menopause. This change acknowledges the more widespread interest in this phase of life and extends the opportunity for learning and growth to a more diverse range of health care professionals.
CR: Aesthetics still plays a major role as skin changes and accelerated ageing impact many women during perimenopause/menopause – how important is it for aesthetic practitioners to update their knowledge around menopause?
GM: Women coming in for aesthetic treatments who are in peri and menopause are often looking for more holistic management, beyond an injectable or a peel. Aesthetic practitioners are in a position to be a part of their invaluable healthcare team! Plus, understanding the role of hormones in skin and hair enables a more successful treatment plan.
CR: What role do you feel aesthetic clinics have to play in 360-degree menopause care?
GM: Women in the UK often feel let down by their healthcare practitioners. Having their aesthetic team validate and be able to address their concerns around hormonal changes in an evidence-based way is invaluable for them. This is also a group of women who are being marketed to and frankly exploited. Trust is invaluable. Knowing what to recommend and where your patients can save money and being able to impart that knowledge will cement you as a trustworthy source.
CR: What will delegates get out of attending the aesthetics session you are chairing?
GM: These incredible sessions bring together industry experts and KOLs, a deep knowledge of menopause and aesthetic practice, together with menopause and the intersection of the two. I am so excited for the sessions we have planned and the incredible calibre of speakers we have lined up!
CR: Any topics you are particularly excited about?
GM: I think the prescribing troubleshooting panel will be brilliant. I always say you can treat hypertension via ChatGPT. There’s much more alchemy to menopause management, so I am hoping everybody brings their dilemmas with them! I am also very excited about the skincare session!!
