Women deserve to feel confident about who they are on the outside and on the inside. Ironically, how we sculpt ourselves on the outside does affect how we feel on the inside. If we know that we are looking great, not only does that boost us with our exterior appearance, but also the feeling of confidence that we get is fantastic!

If you are you someone who desires to get the exact appearance that you want; such as the slender figure, the smaller waist, minimal or no unwanted fat, you can achieve getting the desirable figure that will make you feel like a million dollars.

There are two approaches that you can use to doing this. The first is you can sculpt your body by exercising and conditioning the body to transform itself based on your diet and muscle development.

The alternative option is to use cosmetic surgery to enhance your look and achieve similar results to that of exercising almost immediately.

Every woman wants to ask the question:

“Can I get the look that I want for less?

Can it really be done?

We discuss the two approaches to reducing body fat and sculpting your body to get a slimmer, slender and more attractive figure for your body.

Effective options to deal with body fat

Exercise Sculpting by Maintaining a Calorie-Deficit Diet and Cardio Exercise

Physical results - Medium to long term
Budget – Low to medium
Health risks – Low to medium

You can reduce your body fat by forcing your body to use the energy reserves from your body fat deposits. You will accomplish this by participating in a high-calorie-burning cardio program that will allow you to burn at least 500 calories in a session. You can accomplish this by participating in activities such as spinning bike sessions, aerobics classes or running.

Your heart rate will need to work at over 130 beats per minute in order to push the body to work harder and demand energy from the body’s energy reserves (the body fat that you have). The body should also go into ‘after burn mode’, whereby it calls on the energy deposits over the next 8 hours, thus burning the fat long after you have completed the workout.

When you combine this with a low-calorie diet of non-starch and high-glucose foods, your body should start to sculpt to a slimmer frame and you should notice a reduction in body fat, as well as a more radiant athletic look for your body.

One of the catches with the calorie-deficit diet is your body will keep telling you that you feel hungry. You will need to force your body from telling you to consume food to replenish the energy source in your body. By forcing your body not to eat, it will start to use energy reserves.

Cosmetic surgery or exercise to combat body fat

Timeframes

Whilst this is achievable, it will take at least 3 months to start noticing the initial results. You will need to continue for up to 12 months to stimulate drastic changes in your physique and then maintain your physique with a regular exercise and diet routine.

“But I’ve tried all of this and it still hasn’t worked!”

Unfortunately for some women, even though they maintain a healthy diet and regular exercise, their bodies seem to stall or plateau. This is frustrating because the limitations could be due to biological factors such as age, hormones or metabolism.

Sculpting the Body Using Liposuction and Cosmetic Surgery

Physical results - Immediate
Budget – Medium to high
Health risks – Low to medium

The option to undergo surgery to remove the body fat allows women to transform their body to the exact body shape that they want immediately. Although this method involves higher fees compared to the exercise sculpting option, the benefit that women will get the immediate change that will boost their physical presence and confidence.

The types of liposuction and body sculpting treatments that are on offer range from tummy tucks, to skin tightening, surgical and non-surgical liposuction treatments.

Liposuction treatment focuses on the removal of fat cells and tissue under the skin that provides an immediate reduction in weight. Tummy tucks are a similar procedure that focuses on removing the fat tissue around the abdomen to produce a flat stomach. The main motive for these treatments is to get the desired ‘athletic body’ look. For this type of treatment, Vaser liposuction treatments offer smooth, defined results with a quick recovery. Tummy tucks are another popular option to tighten the abdominal muscles to redefine the look for a more attractive and appealing stomach.

Things to Consider?

Should you decide to undertake liposuction or cosmetic surgery, you shouldn’t underestimate the importance of the healing process in order to avoid any complications.

Post-operation Drainage

Beware of any blood or anaesthetic solutions that may drain from any incisions that were made during the operation.

Find out from your surgeon if you should use compression garments and super absorbent padding until the drainage has stopped.

Cosmetic treatments or exercise for body fat

Diet

You need to maintain a healthy diet to avoid gaining fat again. Monitor your eating habits and steer clear of food and drinks that will cause the fat to return.

Physical Activity

Rest as required. Get advice from your surgeon on how much physical activity you can do and stick to it to avoid any of your incisions tearing or to risk causing any injury or inflammation.

Scarring

Some of the procedures may leave the patient with some permanent scarring and any potential risks with you undergoing the procedure should be consulted with your surgeon.

Post Recovery

Understanding the liposuction recovery process is essential. You can get your desired body shape immediately, but it is up to the individual to maintain their body shape over the long term to avoid any of the work becoming undone.  Furthermore, you need to be aware of any potential health risks such as infections, seroma or swelling. You should be well informed on the post-recovery process to minimise any health risks that could potentially affect you following the procedure.

Beating the ‘tummy tuck and liposuction taboo!’

It feels like it is a taboo option for getting the body you want when actually it provides women with the exact appearance they want.
