Answer: Thank you for getting in touch about thread vein treatments. We offer two main options at Thames Skin Clinic: laser treatment (Excel V+ by Cutera) and sclerotherapy for veins on the legs.

Sclerotherapy:

Most people need up to 4 treatments, spaced 4–16 weeks apart.
You can expect a 60–80% improvement in the appearance of your veins.
After each session, you’ll need to wear support hosiery day and night for 72 hours. After that, you can remove the stocking and take a short, cool shower or bath. We then recommend wearing compression hosiery during the day for up to 3 weeks.

Laser Treatment (Excel V+):

We usually recommend a course of 3–6 treatments, booked 4–6 weeks apart.
No hosiery is needed after laser treatment.
Please note: Laser can’t be used on sun-exposed skin.

If you’d like to get started, we can arrange an initial consultation with Dr. Anna Hemming charged at £195 and payable at the time of the booking. During your appointment, Dr. Hemming will assess your veins, perform a doppler on leg veins and recommend the best treatment plan for you.

consultation fee which is redeemable off a treatment cost.

We would treat you with our laser and do a patch test at your initial consultation.

Answer: Thank you for your enquiry. We do offer complimentary consultations which are required for treatments such as laser.
The consultation will take around 30 minutes and be with one of our laser specialists who can provide you with all the relevant information regarding the treatment. Prior to the treatment we need to perform a patch test, if you decide this can be done during your consultation. Let me know if you would like to get this booked in.
