Question: Can a small lip scar be removed?

Hello, would it be possible to remove a small (white) scar from the lip? I have bitten my lip and have this little scar. How much would that cost?
Thanks

Answer: Dear Ana,
I have asked our Medical director and his reply is that he might be able to improve the scar but you will not be able to get rid of it completely.

Answer: Hi - it’s a very difficult area to treat. Scarring can be treated with micro-needling and also potentially with lip fillers but it’s not an easy solution in this area. Would there be a good number to call you on to discuss?

Answer: Hi Ana,
Thank you for your enquiry.
Depending on the type and extend, scars can be treated to minimise their appearance but generally we cannot remove them fully with non-surgical treatments.

I would need to see you to be able to advise you on appropriate treatment.

Best wishes,
Silvie

Answer: Hi Ana,

Thank you for your recent enquiry.

It would be best to get you in for a consultation so we are able to assess the scar - we unfortunately are not able to suggest whether it is possible to treat without seeing it.

Many thanks,
Abbi

Answer: Hi Ana, thank you for your contact.
It is very difficult to say if you can have a scar removed from your lip without seeing it.There questions like how long ago the scar was made, where exactly in the lip, etc.
I find that most scars can improve with multiple skinpen( microneedling) treatments. However I can only give you a definitive answer after a consultation. The average cost per microneedling session with the skinpen is between £200-£250 depending if special serums are used or not. I hope that helps. Feel free to contact me again if I can help you any further.

Answer: Is your scar just white in colour, or white with texture too?

If it's just white, the scar needs to be removed by cutting it, which we don't do I'm afraid. If there is some texture to it, we can possibly microneedle it, which will reduce it's appearance but won't eliminate the scar

I would need to see pictures of this, if you want to send via email? I can have a little look at it and go from there.

Thank you

Answer: Hi Ana, yes scars like this can be reduced in appearance. The treatment and results will depend on other factors, including the depth of the scar, whether or not you are prone to keloid scarring, and your skin condition. Treatment options could include microneedling to help the healing process, or dermal filler to subcise underneath the scar and even out the skin.

I'd advise that you book a consultation, where we can discuss this in more detail. I offer online consultations via Zoom, costing £25, which is redeemable against treatment cost.

Please let me know if you would like to book.

Kind regards

Answer: Hi Ana, thanks for your question.

If the scar is on the lip itself we cannot treat it, however if the scar is on the skin outside the lip area this is something we can treat in clinic. I have spoken with Dr Jo who said that if the scar is recent it may well settle down due to the good blood supply.

If there's any other skin treatments or procedures you are interested in, we're always happy to help.

Thank you,
