Dr Haus was inspired to become a Dermatologist when in his second year of medical school, he heard Professor Ivo Pitanguy, widely considered the founding father of cosmetic surgery in Brazil, tell a poignant story that for Dr Haus changed everything.  Professor Pitanguy talked about caring for victims of a circus tent fire and how the treatment had not only eased the physical pain of their burns but had also helped restore their sense of self worth.  Dr Haus saw imediately the important connection between physical appearance and a healthy sense of welbeing, and has subsequently made it his life's work to help his patients look and feel thier best.  He is truly passionate about skin.

Dr. Haus holds full registration on the GMC (General Medical Council) General Register in the U.K.  He is also licensed to practice medicine by both the CRM (Conselho Regional de Medicina) in Brazil and by the ODM (Ordem dos Medicos) in Portugal.  Dr Haus is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, British Association of Dermatologists, European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology, International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology, International Society of Dermatology and Royal Society of Medicine.  He is on the UK Advisory Panel for the Safety in Beauty Campaign.

Dr. Haus is a regular attendee at international conferences for Dermatologists. This allows him to ensure that he is at the forefront of the latest procedures and techniques in the fields of Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine.  Dr Haus has also spoken widely throughout the world at conferences and meetings for Dermatologists and other medical professionals on the treatments that he performs in his clinic.  

Dr. Haus’ procedures are non-invasive or minimally invasive. He believes that anyone considering a skin procedure should first discuss all aspects of the plan with a qualified doctor who is experienced in the specific treatment. Accordingly, all new patients undergo a detailed initial assessment to discuss their motivations, expectations and medical circumstances. This will assist Dr. Haus to determine the best options, expected outcomes, any possible side effects and to discuss these with his patient. 

Dr. Haus' philosophy is to take a long-term combined approach of both prevention and treatment, to enable his patients to achieve rejuvenated and healthy looking skin. 

Dr. Haus operates a private clinic. The services are not covered by the NHS and also may not be covered by private health insurance. Dr. Haus will discuss with patients the fees charged for a particular service and all patients are informed of all expected costs prior to any treatment being commenced. Dr. Haus advises his patients to keep their usual G.P. informed of any treatment they receive from him and if requested, he will inform his patients’ usual G.P. of his diagnosis and any test results.
