Julie is our doubled-edge sword with dual qualifications as a Registered Medical Nurse and Dental Hygienist! With over 20 years of expertise in healthcare, she is passionate about providing top-tier care.

Having initially qualified as a medical nurse, Julie later pursued her passion for dentistry, studying Dental Hygiene at University College Cork. She graduated with honours and was awarded the prestigious ‘Sensodyne Award’ for Best Student.

Julie plays a vital role in our Dental Team, helping to prevent and treat oral health issues. She performs professional cleaning procedures such as scaling and polishing, periodontal (gum disease) treatments, oral hygiene instruction, and specialised care for patients undergoing orthodontic treatment or dental implants. Her gentle approach and dedication to patient care help put even the most nervous patients at ease.

In addition to her work in dental hygiene, Julie’s expertise also spans into the field of medical aesthetics. As a Registered Medical Nurse, Julie leads our specialist women’s wellness services, including the innovative Afrodite Treatment. With her discreet, compassionate approach, she guides patients through this gentle, non-surgical radio frequency therapy designed to restore intimate comfort, confidence and wellbeing — whether after childbirth, around menopause, or simply to enhance daily quality of life.

Her dual expertise in dentistry and aesthetics makes her a valuable member of the DrBK team, ensuring patients receive comprehensive, high-quality care in every aspect.

Fun fact: In her spare time, Julie loves getting out for walks and—true to her Irish roots—enjoys Irish dancing!
