Dr. Greg Williams (FRCS Plast) is a hair transplant surgeon at the Farjo Hair Institute’s 152 Harley StreetPractice in London. One of his main focuses is on the regulation of the Hair Restoration Surgery field in the UK.
Since 2003, Greg has lectured Plastic Surgery trainees on Hair Transplant Surgery and is on the Faculty at University College London’s Plastic Surgery MSc programme where he teaches on hair anatomy, physiology, biology, embryology and genetics as well as the causes and treatments of hair loss. He has authored several journal articles and book chapters on subjects to do with Hair Restoration Surgery.
As the current President of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (BAHRS), he has written the Professional Standards and Codes of Conducts for both Hair Transplant Surgeons and Hair Transplant Surgical Assistants, and these have been published in the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) Hair Transplant Forum International. He has also co-authored the Hair Restoration Surgery Standards for the Cosmetic Practice Standards Authority (CPSA) and represents the BAHRS at the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP). He plans to contribute to the development of Hair Restoration Surgery training curricula which will form part of the requirements for voluntary registration with the JCCP. He is the current Chair of the ISHRS Ethics Committee and sits on the ISHRS Best Practice Committee. He sits on the ISHRS Ad Hoc Committee on regulatory Issues and Chairs the ISHRS Sub-committee on European Standards.
