As a web developer and programmer, I have witnessed significant changes in how consumers explore and make decisions about Aesthetic treatments.

The Menopause Network launches a nationwide platform to raise the standard of menopause and midlife care and help patients find trusted clinicians

The Menopause Network is proud to announce a new partnership with ConsultingRoom.com, the UK’s longest-established and most comprehensive aesthetic and clinic directory. This collaboration brings together two trusted organisations with a shared goal: to make it easier for patients to find qualified healthcare professionals and evidence-based support for menopause and midlife care.

Together, The Menopause Network and Consulting Room will provide patients with enhanced access to trusted clinicians, ensuring that verified, professional, and well-trained specialists are easier to discover and connect with nationwide.

The Menopause Network has unveiled a dedicated resource for healthcare professionals and patients, designed to raise the standard of menopause and midlife care across the UK.

Patients can now use The Menopause Network platform to search for trusted clinicians, connect with experts, and find medical professionals near them — creating a stronger link between evidence-based care and those who need it most.

This has come at a precedential time in the UK. With around 13 million people in the UK experiencing peri-menopause or menopause — roughly one-third of the female population — research has shown that 1 in 10 women who worked during the menopause have left a job due to symptoms; many more reduce hours or skip promotions.

NICE updated its menopause guideline NG23 in November 2024 to strengthen evidence-based care pathways, including first-line use of HRT for vasomotor symptoms. There remain counties in England with no NHS specialist menopause clinic, and waits can stretch well over a year in places — demonstrating persistent inequity of access.

The Menopause Network reports that there are over 400 recognised menopause specialists in the UK, with approximately 50 specialist menopause clinics within the NHS accessible via GP referral.

“We built The Menopause Network to close the gap between evidence and access. With an estimated 13 million people navigating peri- and menopause in the UK, too many still face stigma, misinformation, and inconsistent care. Our purpose is simple: equip clinicians with rigorous, up-to-date training and connect patients with trusted specialists so the right help is easier to find, closer to home, and aligned to NICE guidance. A national network means shared standards, faster learning, and better outcomes.”
Aileen Cameron, Founder, The Menopause Network

The purpose of The Menopause Network is twofold: to deliver evidence-based care for core menopause symptoms aligned with NICE NG23 through expert-led training via the academy, offering flexible clinical courses for healthcare professionals; and to improve patient outcomes by promoting tailored, equitable care that enhances quality of life and patient confidence.

Members gain direct access to the latest news and clinical insights, product and treatment information, and exclusive offers.

Menopause care is an essential part of modern healthcare. The Menopause Network equips medical professionals with the tools, training, and collaborative community needed to transform standards of care. Every woman deserves informed, compassionate support — and every clinician deserves the resources to provide it.

The Menopause Network officially launched at PAUSE Live 2025, the UK’s largest menopause event, on 4 October in London, spotlighting evidence-based approaches and practical ways to improve care across the system.
