Specialist medical and aesthetic distributor Eden Aesthetics expand their brand portfolio with the introduction of NEW Velez by Vesna skin treatment biotech masks.

Velez masks are made from a high-tech 100% sterile material, originally developed to accelerate healing for injured and traumatised skin. This natural, renewable biopolymer of 100% pure cellulose has unique material properties due to its patented 3-D nanostructured fibre network.

Velez masks maintain a high humidity level that allows a steady but extensive cooling for up to 2 hours. The mask draws heat away from the skin and cools skin temperature by up to 6°C providing a soothing effect.

Due to the 95% high water content (10 x more than leading sheet masks), the extensive cooling of the skin for up to 2 hours, and the 100% sterility of the material, it is perfect for dry skin and ideal for intensive post-treatment care both in clinic and at home.

The high viscosity of the material allows for a controlled release of hydration over 2 hours, delivering deep penetration into the skin with continued hydration effects after application.

The Velez mask acts as a physical protective film. It is self-adhering and bio-compatible, providing immediate comfort and giving the user the ability to apply it immediately after treatment and remove it painlessly at home.

“Having worked in the aesthetic industry for almost two decades, I think practitioners will

be excited by the innovative Velez biotech masks and how they can be integrated after

in-clinic aesthetic treatments to support and accelerate healing and reduce post procedure complication rates. Biotech Cellulose was originally created to help injured skin to heal and has been used in advanced wound dressings as it intrinsically promotes the natural regeneration of the skin and improves the skin’s profile. This, combined with the extensive cooling effect on the skin by up to 6°C makes it perfect for post-treatment aftercare in the clinic and for continued use at home. The masks can also be utilised in-clinic to treat a range of skin conditions, calming the appearance of redness and sensitivity and making them ideal for skin allergies, dermatitis, rosacea, sun, or weather exposure.”

Lindsay Gray, Managing Director of Eden Aesthetics

Velez masks are ideal to partner with in-clinic treatments as they provide immediate cooling relief from a range of aesthetic treatments including ablative and non-ablative lasers, microneedling, RFM, PRP, microdermabrasion, fruit acid peels and chemical peels. In addition to speeding up post-procedure healing, while visibly reducing redness and swelling and delivering pure hydration, the masks also support the deeper absorption and efficiency of ingredients to treat skin conditions.

As they are just water and cellulose, there has been no reported reactions or dermatitis associated with their use and patients LOVE them.
