BACN and BDNG Announce New Collaboration

The British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) and the British Dermatological Nursing Group (BDNG) are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking collaboration aimed at enhancing professional development and educational opportunities for nurses in the fields of dermatology and aesthetics. This partnership marks a significant step forward in uniting two leading organisations committed to excellence in nursing practice.

BACN Education & Training Committee Chair, Rachel Goddard, shared her enthusiasm in the new partnership, saying: “I am pleased to announce our collaboration with the British Dermatological Nursing Group. We have spent the past few months working together on a number of exciting initiatives. I’m pleased to announce the input of BDNG in reviewing modalities within our BACN Career & Competency Framework. This will include the accredited BDNG Dermatology Nurse Competency Framework within the appendices, enabling BACN Nurse members to utilise it for professional development.”

BACN Chair Sharon Bennett, BACN Education & Training Committee Chair, Rachel Goddard, and BACN Education & Training Committee Vice-Chair, Anna Baker, have also jointly written a feature in the BDNG Journal detailing the heritage of BACN, the many important objectives & projects of the Education Committee, as well as exciting developments with the BACN Career & Competency Framework.

The largest event dedicated to Medical Aesthetic Nurses in the UK, ran by nurses, for nurses.
