Mr Jonathan Staiano

Jonathan Staiano is not only one of the leading Consultant plastic surgeons in the UK, he is also entirely independent and ethically driven. Jonathan’s central goal is to ensure your patient journey is a positive one, where the benchmark of success is your satisfaction with the results of the procedure and your entire patient journey, from start to finish.
Jonathan set up Staiano Plastic Surgery in 2008 as he felt there was something missing in patient care in other plastic surgery organisations. Too much focus on profit, rather than the patient. Jonathan feels the whole process should be led by the Consultant, from start to finish, as he or she is after all, the expert. Jonathan employs nurses and administration staff, but there are no “patient advisors” or other go betweens. You would Jonathan from the initial consultation, right through to your final follow up.
Jonathan Staiano specialises in breast plastic surgery. He qualified in medicine from Guy’s Hospital in London in 1994 and is on the General Medical Council’s specialist register for plastic surgery (GMC no: 4117214). Jonathan has been a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, FRCS(Eng) since 1998 and was awarded the intercollegiate speciality qualification in Plastic Surgery, FRCS(Plast) in 2005. He has travelled widely to gain specialist experience in breast plastic surgery including time spent at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London and in Wellington, New Zealand.

Breast Implants & Cup Size - "I want to be a DD and nothing else will do!"

When talking to patients considering breast surgery, I always ask what bra cup size they would like to achieve ? some patients have a very clear view. I always ask the question because cup size is the way that we talk about breast size but I then always say that I cannot guarantee the final cup size.

Free Cosmetic Surgery Consultations or No Free Consultations?

It is a question that has divided plastic surgeons. Should we offer free consultations or not. The arguments for free consultations, the arguments against free consultations and the third way ? free mini consultations.
