Norman Waterhouse graduated from Birmingham University in 1978. He has held posts as Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to St Bartholomew’s Hospital and the Royal London Hospital and was subsequently appointed as Lead Clinician and Director of the Craniofacial Unit at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, treating all forms of facial conditions. In 2005 he resigned from the NHS and is now in full time private practice. He has published over fifty papers in the medical literature, and has an active research and teaching profile. In 2003 he co-founded the charity Facing the World (www.facingtheworld.net) treating children from developing countries with a wide variety of congenital facial conditions. He is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, The European Craniofacial Society, the International Society of Craniofacial Surgery and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He is a former President of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and a former President of the Royal Society of Medicine. He divides his time between the Waterhouse Young Non- surgical Clinic and his own surgical practice at 55 Harley Street, which has a long tradition of providing excellent patient care. He has a great understanding of both the face and the skin, with 15 years experience working with Botox and a passion for skincare that led him to team up with a small group of leading plastic surgeons to produce the advanced skin rescue formula, Heal Gel. Heal has rapidly gained a cult following amongst beauty editors and celebrities and has been so popular that a range of Heal products are currently in production and due for release in the autumn 2012.
