Why Choose us?
The Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic is an award winning clinic in Kent, offering consultations with Dermatologists, Skin and Laser Specialists, Cosmetic Doctors and Aesthetic Nurses who are all qualified with years of experience to ensure the treatments you receive are safe and appropriate.
In October 2010, the Government implemented a change in the regulation of providers of cosmetic laser treatments, and some surgical treatments including the use of anti-wrinkle injections such as dermal fillers and neurotoxins by totally removing these from the regulatory body, namely the Care Quality Commission, that had previously overseen standards.
What this means is that anyone could now treat you with a class IV laser, or inject you with a filler, without any significant training! Your safety will inevitably be potentially compromised.
We can reassure you that the Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic remains committed to providing safe cosmetic and laser treatments in an environment that is fit for purpose, and we remain registered with, and regulated by, the Care Quality Commission.
There are many so-called skin and beauty clinics opening now providing these sorts of services. Beware, most are not regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and the practitioners will have limited, if any, experience in treating patients, with the majority being unable to make a proper dermatology diagnosis!
The equipment and the product they use may be of inferior quality or bought on line. We recommend you take extreme caution when choosing a practitioner and clinic to provide your cosmetic treatments.
At the Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic, we are dermatologically trained doctors who are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of skin-related problems. That is what we do, and have been doing for many years!
An unregulated clinic does not have to do undergo any regulation and training steps to ensure your safety, and will not have the training that doctors like us have had to undertake, and continue to update.
At the end of the day, who will you trust to treat your face or body? Surely a medical practitioner who has had the best training, years of experience and with ongoing training and regulation is the appropriate person. Would you trust anyone else?
As an independent clinic, we do not have a team of sales people who are there to try to sell you unnecessary treatments. We have only responsible, professional doctors and therapists who provide expert, ethical, appropriate and individual advice to you. We are able to offer an extensive range of possible treatments at very competitive prices.
We provide expert diagnosis, advice and treatment for you. The same doctor will see you through your treatment programme from start to finish, ensuring continuity of care every step of the way. Why settle for less? Come to us, the experts in skin assessment and treatment.
