Question: benign mole removal

Hi there. I have a mole on my chin line that has developed since April. A dermatologist has said it is benign and can be removed. I want to avoid scarring and disfiguration and am looking into how this could be removed. Could you please advise on treatment and cost please.

Answer: Good morning,

Mr Gateley, our plastic surgeon and medical director does the mole removals. His consultation fee is £200 and will give you a quotation after that. Mole removal procedures are from £550.

You can book a consultation with him online or call our clinic.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Answer: Hi There. I would try cryotherapy first as this is unlikely to scar. Sometimes a mole may require more than one session. It tends to need a little more gas in the treatment and so the starting price pending a consultation would be somewhere between £150 to £200 depending upon these factors.

At Finesse Skin Clinic we would always recommend a face to face consultation to discuss your requirements. This is beneficial and will enable you to see the clinic and it’s clean professional treatment environment and of course to meet your practitioner.

How does this sound to you?

Answer: Thank you for your email. We do this treatment by plasma, and it is very effective. It is highly unlikely that you will be left with scarring, but as it is a medical procedure it can’t be 100% ruled out. No patient however has ever had this.

The cost is £350 for the procedure, and this includes, consultation, treatment and a review and any additional treatment the area might need for 12 months after treatment.

If you would like to make an appointment please call us on 01905 795028.

Kind Regards

Answer: Hi there

I can treat moles with short wave diathermy as long as they have been checked by a dr first. The mole is treated and shrinks to skin level and the pigment in the mole fades. One or two treatments are usually sufficient. Each treatment is £85. There should be no scarring

Answer: Thank you for your email enquiry.

We are an advanced skin care clinic where we specialise in lesion and mole removal. Our Doctor Fatima Ahmed who specialises in dermatology would see you for a consultation first, during which she will thoroughly assess the mole, offer a test patch with the laser used and give you advice regarding removal. It may be necessary to offer a biopsy if there is any concern regarding a mole before removal, always ensuring your safety is our priority. This is a service we offer in the clinic. The sample is then sent to the Spire Alexandra Hospital for a full histopathology report.

Mole Removal is becoming a popular procedure because the NHS has reduced the amount of procedures they will carry out. Laser removal is a safe and effective procedure that is quick with fantastic results and with minimal, if any, scarring. A local anaesthetic will be administered prior to removal, making your appointment painless. We can then remove your mole quickly and accurately with our Er. Yag Laser. A small white mark is all that is usually left but a small scar may result. Generally, the area is left unmarked and clear within about two weeks.

The costs are as follows:
Consultation: £175.00 (£50 deposit payable upon booking)
Consultation under 18 £120.00 (£50 deposit payable upon booking)
Biopsy (if needed): from £250
Removal: from £350
Please note that a personal quote will be given to you at consultation.

Dr Fatima’s working hours are:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday’s 9am – 4:30pm

If you have any further questions or would like to book in your consultation, please feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to help.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

Answer: If the lesion is benign then we could try using cryotherapy to remove it. There is still a slight risk of scarring but less compared to surgery.

The lesion would need to be assessed and you would need to be consulted. The cost is £65.

The treatment cost would be £120.

Please contact us via the portal on consulting room.

Answer: Hi,

The treatment would be removal with plasma energy which allows gentle removal with control of the depth , this will reduce the risk of scaring , although scaring will always be a risk, so will pigmentation or discoloration.

The consultation is free, there is a $50 deposit needed, this will be returned if you don’t go ahead with the treatment or if you cancel 48 hours before the appointment, otherwise it will be discounted from the total if you do have the treatment.

The cost is £200 for the treatment of a single mole.

We would have to assess during the consultation, but that is average cost.
