Tracey Beesley's fascination with skincare was born originally from her own sun-worshipping skin woes.

So what’s it with all these lash products and which works and doesn’t?

And the biggest question I’d be asking if I were to put something so near my eyes is, is it safe to use?

Has it been formulated by a Gynaecologist or an Ophthalmologist?

I know which one I’d plump for!

RevitaLash® was developed by an ophthalmologist, Dr. Michael Brinkenhoff, the founder of Athena Cosmetics and indeed is the only lash product developed by such an authority on eyes! As a practising physician, Dr. Brinkenhoff formulated RevitaLash® with safety as the highest priority. Athena Cosmetics has worked closely with a cosmetic safety expert to ensure the safety of RevitaLash®.

Importantly, the safety of RevitaLash® has been tested repeatedly in clinical tests conducted by a reputable research laboratory. No adverse reactions were observed in any clinical study of RevitaLash®. RevitaLash® also has been factually shown to be a safe cosmetic product by the actual experience of thousands of satisfied customers. Athena Cosmetics has received no reports of lasting adverse reactions.

RevitaLash® Eyelash Conditioner is cosmetic. RevitaLash® Eyelash Conditioner is NOT a treatment for any medical condition.  The formula for RevitaLash® is composed of several different ingredients, all in specific proportions and concentrations, all of which together contribute to the improved appearance of beautiful, natural eyelashes. Revitalash® doesn’t contain a prostaglandin, it contains a prostamide - during the synthesis of the prostamide molecule, it does not at any point go through a stage of being a drug or a derivative of a drug. It is a special mixture of ingredients that creates the wonderful appearance of longer, thicker, fuller lashes.

The Jan Marini product originally used the Bimataprost ingredient which is now in the Allergan Latisse® product. Jan Marini now uses a designer molecule instead. The Allergan product, Latisse, is sold under prescription and is not available here in the UK for the time being. The FDA is studying the product at the current time. Lifestyle Aesthetics also distributes a lash product which contains Biotin & glycerin – to condition and moisturises the lashes and a triple peptide complex which can help prolong the lash life cycle.

Athena Cosmetics, based on the success of their lash product has now developed a full line of aesthetic products including Hair by RevitaLash® a convenient and easy-to-use foam that is massaged daily in areas where you want the hair to appear thicker and fuller. The product works on natural, coloured and chemically treated hair. Many of the ingredients in Hair by RevitaLash® are also in RevitaLash®, which has been shown to be safe in numerous safety studies. Additionally, the latest product from Athena is Revitabrow® which can help sparse damaged eyebrows from years of over-tweezing and waxing or simply as part of the ageing process. Utilising the power of peptides and botanicals for strengthening, conditioning and nourishing helps revitalise eyebrows so they look thicker and full with advanced technology.

There are many lash products out there – do your research on the internet – there’s a plethora of blogs now saying what works and what doesn’t. Ask a friend – get a referral that is always the best way to find out if something works or not.
